En Kolkata-Bienvenido a Kalighat

My favorite place during my stay in India. This is near Kalighat Temple, one very important temple dedicated to goddess Kaali. Every saturday, a lot of visitors go to this place to pray or to offer goat sacrifices.

Now, because of this, every saturday the neighboors and other people go out to sell goods. So its like a giant market that goes for a very, very long distance and where you can buy absolutely anything, from Puja products to toys for kids. In my country, a big informal market like this one is called a "tianguis". So when I saw this for the first time I was very happy.

"This is like a tianguis!"

Unfortunately, I didnt had the chance of being there for a long time. We just passed very quickly, and with so many things to see!... next time, I want to spend a whole day just in this place.
